KME Fire Apparatus and the Kovatch Organization are pleased to announce that John Kovatch IV and Kovatch Motorsports won its first career victory in the 13th 20 lap sportsman feature leading the entire distance on Friday night July 2, 2010 at Big Diamond Raceway.

Before the race Kovatch Motorsports held a 50/50 raffle to raise money that will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Kovatch finished 2nd in the heat race, and continued on in the night to win the feature event and take the “00” car to victory lane. Total money raised for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation on Friday was $1,700.00.
